In 2002, the company began producing a new excavator series, the “03” for our EK 270-03 and EK 400-03 machines, taking into account all customer wishes regarding improved reliability, output and operator comfort in KRANEKS excavators.

A NEW EXCAVATOR DESIGN, THE EK 240.

In 2003, KRANEKS Company developed a new excavator model, the EK 240, working in collaboration with engineers from Deutz, Bosch Rexroth, Hydrauto and |Italtractor companies. The new excavator’s engineering level fully matches that of the best foreign models of the same class, with a number of features ensuring enhanced performance:

  • Deutz engine, ensuring enhanced excavator reliability with lower operating costs;
  • Cushioned hydraulic cylinders to reduce dynamic loads on attachments, prolong their service life and facilitate smooth excavator operation;
  • Swing motors with built-in valves for smooth excavator operation and lower peak loads in the hydraulic system;
  • New anti-vibration cab mounts for additional operator comfort due to enhanced vibration suppression;
  • High hydraulic system pressure (37.5 MPa) for increased digging force;
  • Choice of operating modes for more flexible machine operation
  • Hydraulic system Power Boost for additional (10%) increase in digging force.

SWITCHING OVER TO PRODUCING THE “05” SERIES

In the 4th quarter of 2003, KRANEKS Company switched over to producing the “05” excavator series, comprising EK 270-05 and EK 400-05 machines. For this, our staff undertook a range of tasks to improve both design and production of the “03” excavator series.

Power unit

  1. 1. New coupling from CENTA, Germany for more reliable connection of engine with pump unit, ensuring more efficient power unit operation.
  2. New rear engine mounts for better vibration suppression, ensuring greater operator comfort and more reliable operation of all excavator units.
  3. New design muffler with improved exhaust emission system to reduce external excavator noise.
  4. Cooling units from Haugg, Germany for efficient engine and hydraulic fluid cooling, facilitating optimal heavy duty excavator operation.
  5. Changed muffler position, with increased distance between muffler and hydraulic tanks and pressure hoses. This reduces hydraulic fluid warming and improves fluid cooling system operation, resulting in improved excavator performance.

Cab

  1. 1. “05” series excavators mount an extra-long cab with increased interior space, providing additional operator comfort and thus higher labour efficiency.
  2. New hydraulic cab mounts from Simrit, Germany, to reduce level of cab vibration, ensuring additional operator comfort.
  3. New cab lining, using plastic panels, for more modern design and enhanced sound insulation.
  4. New cab and hood locks from WBH Ltd., England.

Hydraulic system

  1. 1. “05” series excavators are provided with cushioned cylinders, which reduce dynamic loads experienced by attachments and ensure their smooth operation, resulting in higher all-round excavator reliability.
  2. Rotary distributor from ALA, Italy, of modernised design ensuring reliable supply of hydraulic fluid form control valve to track drive motors.
  3. New swing motors introduced for EK 270-05 and EK 400-05, with built-in safety valves resulting in improved swing gear reliability and smooth excavator upperstructure movement.
  4. Bucket cylinder features high pressure hoses with metal outer braiding, ensuring more reliable hydraulic system functioning.

Attachments

  1. 1. New rippers with quick detachable fastenings developed for rapid replacement of buckets with rippers and vice versa solely by the operator, without using lifting devices.
  2. New boom-arm pivot design, ensuring more reliable securing of boom-arm connection pin
  3. Additional types of buckets developed for the EK 270-05, permitting its use in a wider range of operations:

MOVING FORWARD WITH THE 30-TON EK 300 EXCAVATOR.

In the second quarter of 2004, KRANEKS Company developed a new excavator model, the EK 300.

New design methods, ready engineering solutions tested on other KRANEKS excavator models, and the participation of engineers from Deutz (power unit), Bosch Rexroth and Hydrauto (hydraulic system), Berco (crawlers) enabled us to create an excavator with specifications and performance fully matching those of the best imported machines of the same class.

CONFIGURATION:

  • Engine from Deutz, Germany
  • Complete set of imported hydraulic equipment: pump unit, control valve, control units, pressure sensors from Bosch Rexroth, Germany; cushioned cylinders from Hydrauto, Sweden; rotary distributor from ALA, Italy; high pressure hoses from Manuli, Italy; hydraulic cab mounts from Simrit, Germany;
  • Cooling units from Haugg, Germany;
  • Track drive and swing units from Trasmital Bonfiglioli, Italy;
  • Filter elements from Hydac Filtertechnik, Germany;
  • Engine preheater from Webasto, Germany;
  • Operator’s seat from Grammer Germany;
  • Cab heater from Eberspecher, Germany;
  • Main crawler parts from Berco, Italy;
  • Bucket teeth from Pyrsa, Spain.

Since 2006, KRANEKS Company has switched over to producing another excavator series, the 06 (EK 240 and EK 330). The new models were based on the previous excavator series, modernized simultaneously in several ways.

EK 450FS – THE ONLY 50-TON FACE SHOVEL EXCAVATOR MANUFACTURED IN RUSSIA.

Экскаватор EK 450FS Прямая лопатаA new excavator model was developed in 2006 – the EK 450FS, equipped with a face shovel.

The new excavator is intended for work at sand and gravel quarries, in strip mining, loading of various soils and materials on to road vehicles and railcars, grading and levelling related to construction work.

The EK 450 FS was developed in accordance with numerous customer requests. In its specifications and performance, the excavator is fully competitive with similar class Japanese, European and American machines. Moreover, the purchase price and subsequent operating and servicing costs are significantly lower than with foreign models.

The EK 450FS mounts a ЯМЗ 238Б engine developing 300 hp, a complete set of imported hydraulics from Bosch Rexroth, Germany and Hydrauto, Sweden, and crawlers from Italtractor, Italy.

The EK 450FS is designed to work with two kinds of buckets – bottom and dumping discharge, respectively.

E-KRANEKS CORPORATE INFORMATION SYSTEM
